Our Club - South Attleboro Lions Club

The South Attleboro Lions Club is part of the world's largest service organization, Lions Clubs International, with 45,000 clubs and over 1.3 million members in 200 countries around the world. Its motto is "We Serve". Each club around the world does pretty much the same as we do here in South Attleboro - support the local community.

We, as all Lions Clubs worldwide are bound by the rule that 100% of all funds raised from the public must go back to the public. All of our administrative expenses are covered by funds that come from members. This premise of giving 100% to the community is a tradition that we are very proud to continue.

We in the South Attleboro Lions Club try to split our donations about one half to the local community and one half to the programs that Lions worldwide support. Vision related health issues and assistance to the sight and hearing impared are that portions primary benefactors.

Membership in Lions is not limited or restricted in any way. Most of our members have helped us with a community project and later joined the club. We have several projects every year that require more help than we have members.

There are two other Lions Clubs in Attleboro that have different programs and meeting times. One of those is the Attleboro Lions Club which meets at noon every Tuesday, the other is the South Attleboro Village Lions Club which Meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. The Village club co-sponsors with us a LEO Club (youth component of Lions Clubs International). So no matter who you are or what your age, "We have a club for you!"
