We are not an extremely large group of people and we are not wealthy. We are a highly dedicated and highly motivated civic minded group of people.
In order to provide the kind of programs and help that we provide; we depend upon help from the community that we serve. There are several ways that people can help us help others.
Financial
Naturally we can always put money to good use. 100% of every dollar donated and 100% of evey dollar profit from fundraising programsgoes back to the public. All administrative expences are covered by the members of our club. We hope to someday soon have a link on our web site which will allow donations to be made right here online.
Sponsorship
Several of our programs have start-up expenses and we welcome sponsorship by corporations or individuals. These corporations and individuals are always recognized for their partnership unless annonimity is requested. We are always open to suggestions for new programs.
Disaster Relief
You can make a donation through us directed toward a disaster relief and recovery program. Your donation will get to the people without having a percentage shaved off for administrative expenses. If you wish to have your donation help out people in a particular town or village, you need only specify and that is where it will go.
Manpower Help
Programs like our Lees Pond Festival, Haunted House, and Las Vegas Nights, require more people than we have available within our membership. Individuals and organizations make these programs possible and we welcome the extra hands to help out.
Support Our Programs
We run several Fundraising Programs. In most cases our programs provide you an oportunity to help us while you are getting a bargain price for the product, service, or entertainment.
Membership
You can become a Lion and help out planing and organizing our programs.
Advertising
We publish programs and placemats bearing advertisements for local bussinesses. Your ad on our publications tells people that you care. If you are not already on our list let us know that you would like to be.
with a contact name and telephone number.
Material Donations
We have committees that are responsible to go out to local bussinesses and solicit food, gift certificates, Christmas gifts, or any other items that we can distribute to needy, raffle off to raise money, or give as door prizes at our many programs. Please be generous when they come to you. If no Lion has come to you, and you would like to help,
and let us know who you are and how we can reach you.
Used Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids
You or a family member may have eyeglasses or hearing aids that are longer being used. There are people in poor communities locally that can use these, and people in third world nations that can use even those in less than perfect condition. They will be cleaned, inspected, and graded prior to reissue. We have several collection boxes throughout the community. There is a bright yellow recycled U.S. MAIL box at the East end of Lee's Pond, and we hope to have one soon at Bristol Place Shopping Center.
